Barcelona, Spain - March 30, 2024 - FC Barcelona continued their impressive resurgence under manager Xavi Hernandez, cruising to a 4-0 victory over Las Palmas at the Camp Nou on Sunday. The win saw Barca move back to the summit of La Liga, one point ahead of Real Madrid in second. From the outset, Barcelona dominated proceedings, controlling possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. It took just 15 minutes for the Blaugrana to break the deadlock, with Raphinha finishing off a brilliant team move to put Barca 1-0 up. The Polish striker latched onto a through ball from Raphinha and calmly slotted home his 25th goal of the season. Any hopes of a Las Palmas comeback were effectively extinguished in the second half when Raphinha added his second goal of the match. The Brazilian winger was on hand to tap in a cross from Jordi Alba, giving Barca a comfortable 3-0 lead. Barca continued to create chances as the match wore on, and they eventually added a fourth goal in the 75th minute. Pedri capped off an excellent performance with a well-taken strike, sealing the victory for the Catalan giants. The result was a resounding statement of intent from Barcelona, who have now won their last five league matches. Xavi's tactical tweaks have clearly borne fruit, with the team looking far more fluid and cohesive than in previous months. After a slow start to the season, Barcelona have now rediscovered their swagger and are once again a force to be reckoned with in La Liga. With just eight matches remaining in the domestic campaign, the Blaugrana will be confident of securing their first league title since 2019.
